1) is it possible to do this set up?

2) i probably won't have the money anytime soon, maybe not even this year, but my question is will the Type R's be able to handle the power? (wired down to 2 Ohms a piece)

thanks for any and all help

well you see i already have an amp but eventually i want to upgrade my subs to a couple AQ HD3's. so if i have separate amps (AQ1200D) for each sub i can wire the type r's to 2 ohms for now, but wire the HD3's down to 1ohm once i decide to purchase those. i would like to upgrade my system step by step if you get what i'm saying

ok didn't know that.

IMO it would be easier to use the type Rs with the amp you have and then after you get tired of type Rs you sell them, sell your audioque 1200D too and buy a 2200D+ audioque subs.

IDK do whatever you want lol :P i'm confused hahahahha

OH ok, then why don't you just buy the AQ2200d instead of two 1200d?

1 will draw less current

x2 on the AQ2200d.

i wrote on your other thread in the subwoofer section to just save your money. theres no reason in buying something when you already see the upgrade in the future. save the money and do it right the first time!
