Author Subject: JL subs and amp Question

Hello everyone,
i recently ordered 2 JL 10 in. W3v2 subs and I'm waiting for them to come in. However, I am having trouble finding an amp. I don't really know that much about car audio, and i asked my friends and they said that the 500-1 JL amp would work. But I need a second opinion. With the subs being 300 watts a piece, would this amp be sufficient without hurting the subs or the amp?
Or if any of you have any suggestions, I'd be more than happy to hear them.
Thanks

Daniel
Or should i get the 300-2 JL amp per sub?

i have two 12 w3v2s im running them on a rockford 851s, sounds bad as. my friend is running them also on a mtx 942. i highly recomend both.

Daniel the 300/2 would give each sub 150watts a piece and the 500/1 would give each sub 250watts a piece.I agree with jon on the Mtx 942 or even better would be the Kicker Kx800.2.U can find both of them at http://thewholesalematrix.zoovy.com
