Diming lights!!!! need help asap!!!

i just put a new system in my car and now my light are diming to the base. how do i stop this so it doesnt get me pulled over????

Inadequate charging system. How many real watts is your new system? Big 3 done? What size alt? Battery?




Don't get a cap thinking your problem will disappear. Please.

i have 2 power acoustik 4000 watt class d amps and2 pioneer champ series daul voice 12"s 4 homs bridged to 2 homs. the amps at 2 homs is 1700 watts. my alt is a 200 amp and my batt i believe is a 650 cold cranking amps.

oh and im not sure what you mean by big 3 done lol and i hear from numerous people that caps are junk and dont do anything. so my mind was made up on not to get one.

You put in a HO alternator without doing the big 3? Thats a recipe for major trouble right there.

Haha agreed. Would you extend a garden hose with a drinking straw and expect good flow? It's the same concept with an alternator and it's wiring. High flow/output alternators need high flow/current wires.
