Speaker help

i have two 6x9 speakers hooked to a 400watt 4 channel amp , but when i turn my music to the max its really not loud at all.. wat do i do w.out blowing the speakers..?

1.Determine the impedance of the speakers and wire accordingly to the amp.

2.Ensure that your crossover is set to highpass or fullrange, whichever suits your listening needs.

3.Set the gains on the amp using a dimm at about 3/4 volume(never full volume).

4.Play properly recorded music...lol

digital multimeter. a ohm meter in plain english. its also refered to as a volt meter. both can be set to do the same things just have different names/

You should be a little more clear, oh guru Ware. ;)

A multimeter can measure resistance and voltage. I think you might be a little confused though. There are devices that strictly measure voltage and others that strictly measure resistance. A multimeter is a multimeter. A volt meter is not.

And amperage. Usually up to ~10 amps.
