so today i ran 0/1 gauge wire in my car with a 150 amp fuse, wired my a1800 jl but it instantly goes into protect. i have no idea why i checked the rca's and the ignition but it was all ok so i figured it was probably my amp. then i tested it with another amp and it also went into protect any idea's why?

Make sure the amp is properly grounded.

yeah turns out it wasn't grounded in a good spot, it was grounded to a bolt in my trunk that was painted (feelin dumb right now) but now i have a killer ground, i sanded that paint off and grounded it with a three bolt terminal... i should be good now hopefully. shoulda done it right the first time.

Always take your time to make sure things are installed properly to save yourself the trouble and time down the road. Glad to see you got it solved, how's it sound?

sounds ok, i have it set low because my stock speakers cant keep up with all the bass everything just gets drowned out. need to get my hands on some good components and some sound deadening.
