i am looking at 2 pairs of 12 inch subs the jlw0 and then type s alpines, i just wanted an opinion from anybody who knows anything about this stuff. thanx

the jl subs will give you more spl while the type s subs will give you more sq. it's a matter of personal preference. try them both out at the store and see which you like better. they're both good subs.
