The best amp

I got 2 12" Pioneer 2000W 2ohm subs. I only have $300 to spend on a amp. What do you recomend? The subs are 750W RMS each but I wouldn't mind getting a amp that has 1000W RMS * 2.

Thanks

you don't want to exceed the RMS rating of the subs, as that's not really a rating of how much power they "need" to reach peak output, but actually a rating of the thermal power they can handle without melting the coils.

Look at a JBL bp1200.1 or similar JBL amp rated for 1200wRMS x 1 @ 1 ohm.
the amp is about $290 US
best amp under $300 you're going to find with that much power.

How about the Boss BD-4000 AMP? I have a heard a lot of crap about this brand, but I have heard nothing but good about this product.

http://www.bossaudio.com/products/amplifier_powerdrive.htm

The RMS is 900W *2 @ 2Ohm.
The peak is 4000W.

Do you think that 900W RMS is to much power for those subs? How about if I use a bigger box?, will that cool things down a bit?

Thanks
