long story short i need a new box and thought i would build my own... wanting to build a bandpass box for a 15" Audiobahn AW1208T any assistance or criticism appreciated

It is damn near impossible to build a bandpass that sounds good. And if you do, it's not much better than a ported box. That's why people don't do it.

if 12 go 2.3cuft tuned to 35hz....or at least thats what my friends is..

Yes, Zach, audiobahn has specs and manuals for all their products right on the site...

For maximum SPL they recommend 3.5 cubic feet tuned to 35Hz. Port size is in that pdf as well.

Not meaning to but in or anything, but is it possible to tune a box around 32-35hz using given dimensions? [38"x14.5"x17"] roughly give or take? Whenever I try to use programs to tune it around this range, I get dimensions that are way too big for my trunk. Im working in a tight space and subwoofertools wont give me anything less than 19", which i too deep.
