ok i usually burn cds with windows media player, whcih came wiht my laptop, and it works fine, and i used to be able to make like 140+ song mp3s on it, but i upgraded to the newer version one day, and when i try to make one of these mp3's, it'll burn like 24 songs, and then mess up the cd, do you guys know any free programs i can burn mp3 with because i'd really just like to slap all the songs on a a couple cds instead of 25 cds

140 MP3 tracks on one CD? They must sound terrible.

You don't need any special software to burn MP3 CDs, just drag and drop the files to the disc in explorer and then click "Burn files to CD"
