i know i should upgrade but for now i dont have anything else. i hav a gothic series 520 and its powering a kicker comp 12. i have recently recovered from clipping my sub but i still dont think it sounds very well. i turned myt level down and the bass boost is off but i still dont think it sounds up to par.. some songs it sounds good and some songs dont. is it just the songs or are there any other possibilities to look at?

thanks

Try a larger, ported box and get back to me. Is it a hatchback? Do your rear seats fold down? You might just have to realize that that amp is not the best(actually crap) and a (better) mono amp would benefit your system. Single 4 ohm voice coil or DVC? You might want to look into a better setup all togeather. Fi Audio Q/BTL will definetly impress you and make you happy. Hifonics would be a better amp and not a whole lot more money, if any! That will make your system sound alot better. JMO

yeah, thanks i have been looking into a ssd accually. i might sound like an idiot but i am just worried about getting a awesome sub for honestly rattling my car apart. i just got a car that i love and i dont want to hurt it any... im sure vibrations from a sub would be no different from vibrations from the road but i dunno, seein videos of peoples roofs flexing and doors flexing isnt sitting to well with me right now. what do you think on the subject sinful? is it possible to just rattle a car apart over time??

also i listen to 95 percent rock/metal so i just want a sub that would give me a nice clean sound, but i also on occasion would want to bump a little old school rap to....

Than I suggest the Elemental Designs 16Ov2's. They have great SQ for Rock music and can still bump the Rap. While you at the ED website, check out the Edead for your car so you don't have to worry about it rattleing apart. JMO

ED is good. They have one of the greatest warranty on the market. Some guys say they don't give it, other say is great so right now IDK what to believe, but i know their ratings are great.

It's the owner of ED who is a problem
