3000 watt amp

But is there a better single amp i can get that puts out 3000 watts. and is 3000wats enuf for those subs. they'd be in a tcab ported box for the back of a Blazer. |

That amp will do about 4000+ watts though, so it's more than you need. You could also check this out, there is a guy selling an american bass VFL 200.1 for $515 on caraudio.com: http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=218147&page=3 That amp will do 3000 watts. He had two and I just bought one  And what kind of charging system are you gonna have? The electrical system required to run either one of those amps will cost more than the amp. |

SS has actually said that they don't recommend running them at 1 ohm. " at dd's website it said that z1 puts out 3000watts so that seems to sound good. " DD way underrates their amps. That amp will do 4000-5000 watts depending on voltage. And get a Kinetik battery instead of that yellowtop. That and a BIG alternator should be sufficient power. |

If you do get a Z1, you will have one of the best amps out there, and it's always good to have a little more power than you need. Just be advised that you don't have to spend that much, there are other good amps that do 3000+ watts that cost less. |

There are several threads on caraudio.com and ROE about it, and one guy contacted SS and they said they no longer recommend running that amp at 1 ohm since so many of them have been going up in smoke.
