i have a kicker kx 1200.1. now my question is it came with a 150 anl fuse. now do i take and put a 300a fuse at the beginning of the wire from the starter battery and put the 150 anl fuse right at the amp or do i only need the 150 anl fuse on the 1/0 gauge. keep in mind that im running two kx 1200.1 and a 350.4 any help would be apprecited

It depends on the size of the wire you run from the battery. If you use 0awg, use the 300amp fuse. 150amp fuse is more for 2awg wire, but if you do use 2awg wire, you should get 200amp fuse. You can also do 0awg wire with 300amp fuse to a fused distribution block and 4awg from the distribution block to the amps.

the kx 1200.1 doesnt have any internal fuses so you that means that i dont need the 150 fuse that came with the amp

OK I see what you mean...300amp fuse as close as possible to battery terminal and 150amp fuse close to the amp. The 150amp fuse should accept 0/1awg wire.
