How do you hook up an REM to a fuse?

I know what fuse I want to use thanks to my owners manual, but how do I hook it up to the fuse?

Are you talking about fusing the remote wire? There is no point in that.

why not?

$2 to reduce (almost eliminate) the chance of burning out the HU's remote circuit.

Matt, just pick up one of these at Wal-mart, probably not much more than a buck.

Cut the remote wire a few inches from the hu and attach the fuse. I would personally solder and heat shrink the connection. Although a crimp cap will work fine too.

Don't use a fuse bigger than 1/2 amp.
