I got 2 Kicker L7 15" 4 ohm subs and i am looking for an amp that would match correctly with it. I ran upon the hifonics amp for $260 which is:
1 x 2000 Watts @ 1 Ohms
1 x 1300 Watts @ 2 Ohms
Super D-Class Amplifier Topography High End Performance Amplifier
Mono 1 ohm Mode Ultra-Fi Mosfet Outputs

Is this a reputable amp and will it be a good match for my subs?

some may say it is but I dont think so. It is unreliable and overrated. Don't expect more then 60% of its rated power form it, 70% AT BEST!

Unreliable? How do you figure? Sure they are a little overrated... But still well built, solid amps. I love my BXi2006d.

They are very solid amps, but like grocery said, a little overrated. I would look for another amp that does a guranteed 2000 watt at 1 ohm.

They're relatively accurately rated.
The most recent benchtest I saw on a bx2005 was 1802w at 14.4v.
I'm no math major, but I'm gonna say that's right about 90% of rated power.

And FWIW - even if it DID do 2000w there would be no audible difference whatsoever. Maybe a couple tenths of a dB.

wire them at 1 ohm. James hate brutus line but that's his choice, he has some base to talk that way.

For me, hifonics brutus is the lowest you can go for decent quality when buying an amp
