no that wont work, who installed it? you? did you run the power wire on the other side of the car as your RCA's? the whine is alternator noise, what kind of amp do you have? sometimes a ground isolation loop helps solve the problem if it is the amp but 9/10 its the wiring. Check your ground and make sure it is a good solid connection with the paint scraped away making a good connection.
