a nitro 2000 watt amp is pretty good my friend has one on 2 12'' pioneers and they sound pretty good!

they are right up there with the worst of them, highly unreliable and highly overrated. It doesnt get much worse. Anything that uses a max rating is junk.

OK THANKS.. I GUESS I'LL JUST HAVE TO BUY SOMETHING ELSE, WHAT WOULD YOU RECOMEND?.. I JUST BOUGHT A 1998 GMC YUKON AND IT HAS ONLY THE FACTORY RADIO CD PLAYER.. I HAVE ABOUT 6 OR MAYBE 7OO DLLS.. WHERE SHOULD I START FOR A NICE SOUND SISTEM??

well alpine makes some of the best audio stuff! but u can also try these!

OK.. SO THE FIRST THING I SHOULD GET IS A DIFRENT HEAD UNIT OR CAN I PUT AN AMP AND SUBS TO THE FACTORY STEREO??.. BECAUSE THESE THING SOUNDS PRETTY LOUD BUT HAS NO BASS

First of all, PLEASE stop typing in all caps, that's kidna rude and hard to read at times. Second, you don't have to get a new HU, but I would recommend it. You can get a line output converter so that you are able to use an amplifier to power your subs/speakers.

I wouldn't say it wouldn't sound as good, you would just have less control over how you would set your frequencies and such things. With the right install, good box, good amp, good sub(s), you should be fine with a LOC. I've heard pretty good sounding systems using them!

LOC's sound great now days if your set up is decent:-) For your price I would look into old alpine and eclipse for a HU they made the best now I think Alpine has taken a dip in quality in HU's. Look at the alpine 9811 or 9813 they are both great great decks and you can get them on ebay for good deals.
