Hello Friends, I am still in cofusion. I was trying to find a JBL GTo 1201 amp in Australia, but found that its too much expensive. And also is not available on ebay australia. I want to power two Alpine Type R 4 ohm DVC. That alpine dealer suggested me to hook MRD 1005 for that purpose. Can you comment on this amp>? IS that amp reliable?

hi aman, i have some info for you:

The alpine will put 1000w rms at 14.4V. If you don't have a good electrical system you will see around 700-800w rms at 2 ohms. The amp is good quality btw.

If they're 4 ohm DVC then you can't use that amp cuz is 2 ohm stable.

Can you tell us which brands can you get in australia???

If you want 2000 watts for two subs than get the Crossfire VR2000D because in puts out 2000 watts rms at 12.4 volts @2 ohms and around 2300 or more at 14.4 volts. Very good amps. Highly recammend. Electrical system will not matter with these amps because rms wattage rating is at 12.4 volts
