Ok, I'm considering buying James Orion amp, and I want to know how it compares to the Memphis MC1000 as far as output and SQ. It will be used to power a 15" S.I. Mag. Any opinions?

Thanks,
Andrew

old school orion is better than memphis, although i'd pick the memphis. The quality is good and the output is the same. plus you can get a warranty from memphis

the memphis will put out more power but the orion is a killer old school competition amp that is extremely versatile:-) it does 50x2 to 400x2 and 200x1 to 800 x 1 all at 12 volts. you really cant beat it in versatility. If you ended up using your memphis for your subs the orion is a amazing mids and highs amp:-)

yeah james, but remember the warranty. The memphis will put the same amount of power with warranty and brand new. That's hard to beat

he already has the memphis so he is not comparing a brand new one to it.
