Kinetic claims their HC600 to be as powerfull as 100 1farad caps so i plan to run 2000 watts rms, im wondering if this battery can replace a cap and mount in the cargo space or do i need a 4farad or so cap...OR do i need both? the main reason i ask is because all the big ppl on this board with systems dont run capacitors and i kind of wanted to know how thhis whole system works and what would work best in my situation...thanks
I personally would put a battery and a cap. Any cap will discahrge faster than any battery so the bass response will be better with a cap. But you also need an alternator that can keep the charge up on both batteries. Also if you buy a battery I suggest you buy two new ones. Dont mix and old with a new.
