I'm gonna start making a 14V Power supply so I can hook up my nine.1 in the house, because of vehicle issues...

I plan on just running a switched wire from the + straight to the remote, giving it a 14V remote turn on....

With this, what should I have my gain set at?

another quick one, should i make it 16-18V power supply to get more power out of it, or will that just damage it?

none of that has anything to do with the gain.

what are you feeding signal to it with?

it says nothing about needing a high voltage power supply, and it's rated at 12.5v. I don't think there would be anything to gain with more than 14v. 16+ could be very bad.

ill most likely be using a vcr power supply or something similar, to step voltage down to 14v...

...sorry, had a brain f@rt and thought for some reason i was supposed to match HU remote voltage to gain ? i dont know what i was thinking....

signal will be coming from probably a JVC receiver, or Marantz receiver... should i just measure the output voltage on those and set gain accordingly?

With the right test tone that should get it close, but it would be better to measure the voltage at the speaker outputs --

your going to need a good power supply that will run a few hundred dollars. you cant use a vcr power supply. it wont give you enough amps.

and dont run that amp more then 14.5 ish volts 16-18 will likly fry it

alright.... yeah

i'm making it in electronics, it'll probably be around 13 volts, not sure about current yet... is there an 'overkill' amount of current for them? ive got a HUGE as$ transformer im using for the power supply.... havent had the chance to check out what kind of current it'll put out yet though..
