USACI Competitor Scott Owens First to Break

180 dB Mark on USACI B&K Meter.



Lowell, AR, 10/26/2005 -- Scott Owens, USACI competitor in the Unlimited modified category earned the title of "The Loudest Car In the World" at the 2005 USACI World Finals in Kansas City, Mo. Scott posted an incredible 180.5dB on the USACI B&K meter during his world record attempt. This marks the first time any vehicle in the world has registered over 180dB on the B&K. "This is an incredible milestone" stated USACI president, Ralph Randall. "Congratulations to Scott on an incredible feat". Scott's Pioneer sponsored vehicle was one of 5 breaking world records at the event. Travis Bourgois registered 152.4 in the basic stock 1801-up class, Bruce Ogden registered 156.0 in the Super Stock 901-1800 class, Erick Hoss registered 172.7 in the Super Modified 1001-5000 class, and Previous SPL Record Holder Michael Jones registered a 178.0 in the Extreme class to take world record in their respective classes.



These competitors are amongst the world elite in car audio competition. Congratulations to each and every one of them on their success.

Yeah we ran one all season (actually my son did) Through 4 different builds we went from the low 140's to a 166.4 at finals. Really fun class to play around in.

yea...i did a miniSPL setup for my lil sister once.

a CVR 8" and a stock chevy HU...~15w....did 138's.
