I am looking to buy 2 (2400.1) used from a friend for $500 and that puts me in the 5k rms range @ 1ohm strapped and stable at .5 for burps and in at around 6.5k rms. any opinions on these amps? thanks |

I run a Dark Blue 1000.2 in my Saturn weighs like 30 pounds...lol I hit 145.9db off that amp (2 12" pioneers) I am sponsored through audissy.com so I get not bad deals plus rep the company kinda like this..lol Dark Blue 1000.2 internals... http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/Helix_Dark_Blue_1000.2/ The reasons behind the Exiles would be like 2 15" in my ford Escort, I wanna do somthing stupid and hit above 150db. I was going for straight SPL, I used to run Alpine but I had to sell them as I felt the Helix amp would over power them and they wernt well suited for competitions, may have been wrong but I like the Premeier subs, they do get loud they actually ripped the screws outa my box so I have to put on an extra baffle now! |

Thats my highest I hit around 145 145.3 was my lowest db score outa 4 U.S.A.C.I comps I got 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place western finals. But the Western finals were DB drag so it was a rip job. 3rd place had 5krms (147db), 2nd place had 10k rms (148db) and 1st place had 20k rms (150db)....only makes sense.....Hate Db drag |

Silver Member Username: MixmastaspigCanada, Canada Canada Post Number: 777 Registered: Sep-05 | I thought it was a pretty good score since doubling my rms would add "3db" (technically) so if I had 20,000rms I would be higher than 150db I would be around 155db according to the 3db rule of thumb. |
