True.

If your HU has an RCA out for the front/highs, they arent needed.

i have a 99 buick lesabre, with a factory deck. i want to hook up my 900w jvc amp without ripping my dash appart. the only wire i need help with is the remote wire some ppl are telling to put it right to the power, and hook up a switch up but i don't want to have to go threw that every time i want to use it. i have a trailer wires running back can i run the remote off of that?

run it into the fuse panel on a switched fuse, like the radio fuse.
