I was wondering if the Phoenix Gold octane amps put out their rated power? I am about to buy one and just want to make sure that these things are not over rated.

they put their rated power, but you must tell us what model, cuz if that's PG low end stuff might be a lil overrated, But if you're getting the PG octane R15.0.1 (or something like that hehe) is good and cheap.

An octane r4.0.2 to run some crystal 6 1/2 comp. And a octane r8.0.1 to run 2 12" fi x's. The R15.0.1 is about 40 or 50 bucks more would that bee worth it? The fi x's are 300 rms.

no that would work if you get to Xs SVC 4ohm right? you could wire it to 2ohm which is perfect for htat amp becasue it puts out its power at 2ohm. no the audiobahn is a worst case senario amp

the PG x600.1 will do 8-900rms at 1-4ohm and you can get it for 250 off woofersect.com and its better then the octain amps

My birthsheet for my PG Xenon 600.1, claims it does about 630 RMS, and my other says 645.

Not sure who told you they do 800-900?

he saw a benchtest result but you're a PG owner hehe^^^^

A 4ohm svc can only be wired to 4 ohm, so you need a 4 ohm stable amp.

If you're getting 2 then get a PG octane r15.0.1 and control the gain.

seth the reason for that is probly becaue when pg fixed the problem with all of those amps and sent them back out that is because they didnt print new birsheets for all of them. iv seen multipul birthsheets with 800-900rms. also email a PG tech and they will confirm it for you

i think they should be fine there was a weak solder point on the board or something like that. i think yours should be fine because from what iv heard the probelm was discoverd fast so they all got recalled fixed and sent back out and only some went down the line for a new birth sheet. so unless you get your amp right when it came out it should be fine. if you want to see the birth sheets of some others ill post them
