I heard that the subsonic filter is for ported boxes, but is there any use for one with a sealed box? I didn't have one on my last amp, but my new one does have one, and I don't know what to do with it.

The subsonic filter cuts out the inaudible tones and leaves more power from your amp for your subs for the tones you can actually hear... it's more for ported/vented boxes.. but it also works with sealed :-)

if your subs bottom out on really low notes, and you're not over powering or clipping them, then yes, you might wanna set a subsonic filter. or build a smaller sealed box.

for ported its a must!
