Little rip sub

Ok i was screwing my sub into the box and the screwdriver sliped and went right throught the outer cone part of my kicker L7, is there anyways to fix it. idk if it would effect the sound becuz i never hooked my system up yet.

i have had that happen to me b4 and i used that blue silicone stuff... when i had the hole it didnt sound good at all then after i filled it with that it sounded the same as when it didnt have a hole.. but it takes 24 hours to drie i think its used for sealing head gaskets on cars im not sure so i will let u know exactky what it is called

damn chris its just not your day is it.

i did the same thing to my cvrs before so i did what michael did. except i used a clear silicone. it sounded good as new but looked like sh!t.

so just get a can of silicone and fill the hole up and thats all there is?

I repaired a small rip in one of my subs using super glue gell, sounds fine but looks crappy

2 part clear epoxy gel found @ the hardware does a good job ......

idk i just used some crazy glue on my mtx's that i did it to works perfectly fine doesnt look perfect but doesnt loook bad either

i heard clear fingernail polish works... quick dry time and doesn't looky horrible. I used clear silicon on my old MTXs .. yes ironic charlie.. i too put a hole in my MTX lol. worked good and held up till i sold my car

i guess its a ritual that @ some point we all must put a screwdriver through a sub - lol

i too only did that once to a home sub over 10yrs ago - used crazy glue on it & even up 2 2day its still holding just fine ......

i guess it depends on how big the hole is too.

silicone would be my first choice.

that 2 part epoxy stuff works good too

its a really smally hole and i hooked it all up and it sounds amazing i cant even tell that theres a little rip thats how small it is but thanks everybody

i would still cover it with some kind of silicone.

you don't want air leaking through the cone.

yea cover with somethin cuz if u leave it with that small whole in it u might have problems in the future
