Is it true that the sub would be under more control at 2 ohm then 1 ohm? Local dealer says so, just wondering.

I'm thinkin of hookin up a kicker zx1500.1 to a DD 3515 or a Treo SSi. Any suggestions? If I do the SSi I'm getting the zx1000.1... Looking for mad spl w/ good sq. SSi - $425, DD - $390

damping factor will be better at 2 ohms compared to 1 ohm, THD will be lower, dynamic headroom is better, SNR is better, and so forth.
the only advantages to running at one ohm are more power, and more watts per dollar.
for SQ purposes, a higher load is superior, making the amp not work as hard and not as close to it's physical limits.
