New member Username: That_wasnt_nicePost Number: 1 Registered: Aug-06 | Hey guys. I recently bought One Kicker CVR12 sub, but it is has a 2-ohm dual voice coil. The wiring part is confusing me since it's 2-ohm. The reason is, I can't wire just one sub in a 2-ohm setup, right? I would need to wire it as 4-ohm... but would wiring my sub @ 4-ohm work without causing any problems?? also i was planning to get the audiobahn a8000t amp and run it at 4-ohm, but im not sure if its possible or not. any help would be appreciated! thanks. |

Silver Member Username: Killer44Ontario Canada Post Number: 630 Registered: Dec-04 | no that sub can be ran @ 1ohm in parralel, or 4ohms in series, it should show diagrams in ur manual, or use these http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/learningcenter/car/subwoofers_wiring.html?subs =1&impedance=DVC2x2 u could use the a8000t and run it @ 4ohms giving the sub 400rms...if u need any more info jsut ask... |
