what is a good 4 channel amp and subs to put all together for one system a friend of mine was wonderin and i couldnt think of one

He wants to use the front channels for his fronts and bridge the rears for his sub, no?

im not sure what hes gonna do hes got a 2000 tahoe so i told him hes got pleany room hes wantin some subs that will bump hard and a 4 channel amp or just get 2 2 channel amps so what u suggest?

why not just get mono amps for the subs?

im not sure he was wantin 2 channel but u think mono would work out better for him?

I think it's more of a matter of what he'll have to work with. There might be a good buy out there on a two channel that can be bridged that would work great for his sub, and vice versa (minus the bridging) for a mono amp.

Personally, I'd grab the sub and speakers first, it works out better because amps usually have more flexibility as far as that goes-and ultimately the speaker is going to make a bigger difference in the final sound than the amp will.

yea he dont have any amps or nothin or subs he was wantin to me ask for all of yalls afvice on what he should get that would put out some big db numbers...he works at a place called "B AND B BATTERY" so he can get alternators and battery's real cheap so what do yall suggest he gets?

what's his budget? if i was getting a new settup now i'd try either dd 3512's, 9512's, or some mags. or i would buy another pair of arsenals.

he likes treo...and also arsenals and jl but hell i dont know what kinda amps he should get

couple suggestions?

4 dd 3512's, each ran off a kicker 1500.1 would be nice (what i'm working on)

4 arsenals, each with a nine.1 (my second personal choice)

so u think u should just push one of those subs about 400 rms watts? or what

looks like on the jl site their black zone, were the warrenty voids, is about 750-800wrms on it and about 400wrms is optimum. i'd give it a clean 400-500wrms.

aw crap u think if my friend got 4 of them with 500 watts on each sub he could out beat me in db's with 2 kicker 15 L7s?
