I am new hear and see amps specrs usually have (14.4) next to the rms ratings. Others have 12. something afterwards. How do I know which one I got and if it is not 14.4, how do make it so it is?
14.4 volts is what your alternator produces when the engine is on and at about 1200 rpm. 12 volts is what the battery produces when the car is off. amplifiers will work in both cases.
