I have 2 Alpine SWR-1041D 4 Ohm DVC Subs, and need to buy and amp. Not entering competitions, but I am a beatmaker, and show off my beats in my car, so sound quality is important but I still would like power. Haven't decided what to spend yet, so will hear anything that isn't rediculous, Have been considering RF P6001, P8001, T10001BD. Overkill? Underpowered? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Money...? always an issue.

I have the comps figured, right now I want to deal with some bass, as it is what sells, (unfortunately).

Why do you suggest I ditch the alpines?

same thing with the jl comps...

Ok...

1. Assuming I can return the Subs, what would you suggest for a subs and amp combo. Within Reason.(selling beats out of car = not Dr. Dre = not loaded)

2. Assuming I can't, what amp should I go with.

PS thanks for your help

Subs w/ good SQ.
(Image Dynamics) IDMax, JL w6v2, AscendantAudio (AA) Arsenal, Sound Splinter RL-S/P, Cyrstal CMPX2, Treo SSX, (Resonant Engineering) RE XXX, (Stereo Integrity) SI-Magnum, Eclipse Titatium, Diamond Audio D6-D9.

Not sure how much you paid for you Alpines, but if you bought them online... prolly a $100's a sub, your in pretty good price range for the AA Arsenal, but if you want two subs I'd say the AA Assassins. www.ascendantaudio.com
Check out ebay though, you might find some good used equipment for cheap!

OK, that's a lot to think about. I think I will go back to the drawing board.

As for amps, what do you think about the ones I suggested origionally?

Or am I way off base there too.

Maybe give me some examples..

ie which amp for a speaker that handles 200 Watts, 500 watts, 700 watts(I was looking at the Arsenals)max RMS

Again, you are very helpful and I thank you

There are several more in that range, I kept them fairly economical in my opinion w/o looking at Hifonics or Audiobahn - you could also look at some Soundstream. I think Memphis have great amps, and the Xenon's are well known here for standing up, and MB Quart - a couple people have them here, and they say the preform and don't ever seem to get too hot. Good luck
