For my g/f's birthday, I was going to put in a system for her car. She drives a 1997 Ford Probe. She already picked out the head unit that she wanted so now I need to get everything else which would be the speakers, amp, and sub.
The speaker sizes are 6.5 and 6x8.
Just want one good quality subwoofer (10 or 12)running off a good amplifier. Maybe even a 5-channel amp if I can find one cheap enough so I can amp the speakers too!

ya I know, but one thing is for sure, it's that I do not want a Kicker subwoofer unless if it's the deal where you get "buy one get one free". There are too many people around here with Kicker subs now a days. Need something differen't.
I really don't mind too much on what the brands are. It's not like she cares...but, I just wan't something decent, nothing that will sound like crap.
No Sony or Audiobahn, I can tell you that I do not want, lol. Nor Kenwood.
then your best bet is is a 2 channel unless you use a JL, or Xeon series PG amps, i would use a 250/1 I HAD IT RUNNING 1 12W3 AND TURNED DOWN, it still pounded. You can find then for reasonable, I got mine used and was like 125 for it.
