Bass Control Knobs...Problem.

All right, I have two Kicker KX 800.2 amps running.

I have one bass knob mounted and ran to one amp.

I just got the second amp and it didn't come with the bass knob. I really DON'T want two bass knobs, but I know I could just buy another one.

However, the wire that goes from the amp to the knob looks like standard telephone wire. Does anybody know how well it would work to just put a splitter on the bass knob and run a wire from the second amp to that?

Any help would be appreciated, sorry for the bad description of the problem.

If I remember correctly, that's what is recommended in the KX owner's manuals.

So, is the wire just a regular phone wire? I don't have my manual to look.

I remember asking something about this before, and it was mentioned that maybe the volts were different, so the phone wire wouldn't work.

when you open the box, you only see

THIS WIRE CANNOT BE USED FOR TELEPHONES OR INTERNET CONNECTIONS.
