I've had problems in the past with one of the earlier models going into protection fairly easily due to heat.. But other than that, it was a pretty good amp overall. :-) And for the price, it's really difficult to beat.

usually the intake series are known for operating well in warmer conditions, due to their large cooling system. i believe it will be a great choice, i will most liekly be purchasing an audiobahn a8000t off ebay... it seems a great choice for the price. i will be powering 2 infinity kappa perfect 12.1 at 2 ohms. they are 350w rms each, but i think they will be fine with 400 rms to each.

How do you know when your spending for quality and not stupidly? When you have a set amount you only have to spend you can make the best of that can you not rather then looking at somthing you cant afford?

well, when you have a set amount (and its not alot) you cant really go for quality. The intake series IMO are very good QUALITY for the money that you do pay for them. then there is quality like MM, jl,.... the list goes on. if you cant afford it, u need to find the best amp that you can afford.

You get what you paid for (check ... quality)
Do it right the first time(check (this is the first time i researched b4 i bought))
Here and asked questions and opinions (check)

Now to sell my old system and im so proud my self i rewired the RCA POWER and GROUND to ym CIvic and all the pannels went back in and nothing broke and it works fine and sounds better theres less distrortion where ever it was but the "REM" wire i lef the same as it was b4.

Bassman3... if i could spend the extra money to buy from www.edesign.com the elemental desgin 13Kv.2 450RMS and the nine.2x 400RMS would that be a much better buy then the Audiobhan and the CVX which are rated at 800RMS and 750RMS?? What will have a greater output?

are you using 2 subs, if so, and they are dula 2 ohm subs, I would use like the zx-1500.1 or the 2500.1, if only using 1 dual 2, i would use a memphis 1000d on it.

why would u want the 2500.1 ty? 2500 is wayy to much for two 750 rms subs. the zx 1500.1 would be a nice choice.

car audio,

the cvx is rated at 750 rms i beleive. so NO ED amps would fit well if you had the two cvx's. Their highest amp only puts out 1200 @ 1 ohm i believe.

and the 13kv.2 is 350 rms not 450. i dont really like the ED subs that much. there alright but i would def stick to the cvx's which IMO will get a ton louder and still keep great sq.

if u could get the 2 cvx's (dual 2 ohm) - and a zx1500.1, you'll be set for a very nice system. better than if u got the ED subs and amp
