Hey guys. I am looking for an amp for the sub I bought, an MB quart RWE202. Would an Alpine MRD-M300 be good for my sub? I dont want to overpower the sub and I dont need anything much, just a little bit of bass, maybe enough to show off to the "gangstas" who bought their subs from Best Buy. Aside from that, I dont want anyone to be bothered heavily by the sub.

So would the Alpien MRD-M300 be good enough? Also, would there be a chance of it blowing my sub? Can I just prevent it by turning the gain down? Thanks!

the only true way u can blow a sub is user error.......aka clipping......which is when u ask ur amp to "PRODUCE" more power than it can........like turinig the volume up.....gain to the max or close....same with bass boost..

u could have a good system with that sub....an amp....

but in my opion go for a 1cuft box.....if u like low bass.....my freind n i both own MB subs i have 2 pwe 354 he has 1 352.....both runin the Raa-1000 he has doubled the airspace req. to get 3 cuft....i have 2 1.75 cuft chambers an it seems like we have the same amount of deep bass......see i have 2 he has 1 and it goes just as low as his.......so if u give it more airspace it will hit low......

I have given it more airspace (I built a 12x12x12 in sealed box) at the sacrifice of cargo space (oh well).

So I can get this amp and then just pay attention to distortion to prevent clipping?
