Look into the 2500d by orion they go on ebay for 450-500 new shipped. Might be a little to much power for a l7 but for two of them, that could work out real nice.

the hifonics will be fine. one simple question, are you going to upgrade or not, because that will changle things...

the orion will be wayy too much power anyways. the rms on the l7 is 750 so that mean you need around an 1500 watt amp. if u had the dvc 2 ohm sub and you got 2 of them, you could get the kicker zx1500

it does 1500 @ 2 ohms

I have the 2006 Hifonics 1606Bxi (1600wRMS) it has had the privalge of pounding the s*** out of 2 12"'s @ combined 2800wmax and currently hits my 18" MA 1800XL. It has an amazing X-over for the price and can run up and down all the ohms so If you wanted to upgrade subs you always could. If you wanted more power the 06' HF 2000D does basically the same thing. Both are @ or under $300 on ebay so you have 200 left over to get another sub :-).
