Kenwood KRC 358r, 6 cd cartridge won't eject

The display on the head unit reads er-99, and when I push the eject button on the cartridge in the boot, the motor spins, I can see something moving in there but it doesn't eject. Do I have to take it appart to fix this? Thanks
