I was in Wal-Mart today, and some of the Sony amps they have are being discontinued, and have been marked down. I decided to open the box on one and see what the RMS wattage was...It was a 250 watt MAX amp. rms? 40 watts 2channels 4ohms 80 watts 2channels 2ohms and 120 watts 1channel, dont remember the ohms.... I know Sony is bad,but to put out an amp that most people think is going to give them 250 watts, and have it give them less than half...tsk tsk tsk.
Michael, they listed the max wattage, a LOT of companies do this. Sony's not near as bas as like, pyle, or boss...who say "4000 watt amp" and mean "600 watts RMS".
