ok well i am sorta new to car audio. im doing my first install in my own car. i have a 1200watt RMS amp and 2 subwoofers i will be wiring to the amp. could someone make a list of all the wires i will need and about how many feet of them. i have a oldsmobile 2door car.

what kiind of subs are they 4 ohm 2 ohm 1 ohm DVS SVC QVC (not the shopping network)

ok, you can wire them to a 4 ohm load or a 1 ohm load, depending if your amp is 1 ohm stable whats the amp? what kid of subs are they

im gonna wire them at 1ohm but wat wires will i need to hook it all up and about what guage wire?

wire them to get a 1 ohm load then you can get the most of the amp and the subs

yeah what guage of wire would you reccomend for speaker wire with that amp

you need at least a 4 ga wiring kit. many people will suggest 1/0 just to allow for future upgrades, but 4 will get it done.

this is pretty much the standard 4 ga kit as far as good quality/low price...

It looks like you'll need to come up with some remote wire -- about 20' of 18 ga or so, and you should probably get some speaker wire since the wire with the kit is only 16 ga and 10'. Wal-mart sells some pretty good stuff that's not that expensive.

yea for that much watts, use like 4-2 gauge power same with ground and try and get 14 gauge speaker wire

12 gauge for speaker wire, 4 gauge for power and ground if not 0 gauge, I always order bulk rather than get preset packs.

looks ok -- probably not truly 2 ga, but it should be plenty for your amp.

BTW - this site has it for 1/2 the price...
