If your amp is going into protection, then you are either not supplying enough power, gain/level is set incorrectly, or exceeding the amp's minimum ohm requirement.
Use a DMM and monitor the voltage, as well as the resistance on the subs. Most amps will support 4ohms bridged.

Does your amp go into protection with no RCA input connected?
Try that. If it does with no load, then your amp needs a repair.
However, if it works fine, then check your gain/level setting.
You really need to check the voltage on the amp with a DMM.

Rick, How did you wire the Sub? That amp is not stable under 4 ohms. If you bridged it it would be 200x2 at four ohms. Did you put each channel (1-2) to one coil and (3-4) to the other coil? if sub was dual 4 Ohm coils it should have been ok. If you wired it for a 1 ohm load, you probably cooked the amp.
Question 1. What sub is it and what are the VCs
Question 2 How many subs you running.
Question 3. How did you wire the sub(s)
