I was wondering what YOUR veiws are on that saying... I personaly can tell the diff between a infinity amp and a JL... Its like night and day.

So whats your opinion?

thats kinda two seperate ends of the audio spectrum comparing JL and Infinity. i can't really tell a difference between the JL amps i had and the Zapco ones i have now.

a watt is a watt, if u have a true 500rms infinity, and a true 500 jl, u can not tell the diffrence, its all in ur head

yea...a watt is a watt, but all amps are not created equal.

for example, an no-regulated amp that does 500w @ 1ohm, 250w @ 2ohm and 125w @ 4ohm will not perform like and regulated amp that does 500w at 1-4ohm.

impedence rise at different frequencies will determine how a given amp will react to a speaker.

But at a given freq. (say a 60hz burp)...the wave form will also come into play. A 500w (reactive) clean sine wave will should diffenent from a 500w (reactive) clipped wave.
