My dad has a CLK500 with out the navigation screen in it because he wanted to put in an after market system. He likes the Alpine IVA-W200 because of all the features, his only problem with it is can it stay flush with the rest of the console without the actual player showing, and when a button is pressed flip down to insert a cd or dvd? My mom has a ML350, and her screen flips down when a button is pressed to insert a tape or cd, then you simply push it closed. Is that possible with the Alpine IVA-W200?

Yes. When you press the Eject button, the bottom of the screen slides out a little bit and the top slides down, to expose the slot for loading a DVD. When you press the Eject button again (or insert a disk), it automatically closes.
