I'm wondering what amp to get? Trying to go cheap, bang for the buck.

They're going in sealed boxes behind my mr2's seats, they're description says 600 watts each but my friend told me they push 750 watts each? What's up with that?

whoa.. Im being called a dumbass?

He asked for what amp, so I gave him a good Amp. Hifoncis is way under-rated also. And excuse me for not knowing about running 2 subs through a 1 channel amp. My bad. But Hifonics is definetly a great amp, and I have 2 forums of people that will back me up on that. www.forum.realmofexcursion.com www.deathbydb.com

Hifonics is definitely not under-rated. They only put out around 70% of there rated power @ 14.4 volts.

one line of the amps do. Most of them put MORE per say wattage out than they are rated

That dosnt look under rated to me.. at 14.4 volts, it's over 100 actual watts lower.. and at 13 volts, it's over 500 watts over-rated.

:-)

They are good budget amps, but DEFINATELY not under-rated.

holy sh1t 10% thd, thats high as h3ll, i think anything over 1% is audible, i can't imagine what 10% would sound like. but for amps look into kx1200.1, 1200d, re12.1, that amp alter mentioned would be perfect also.

I'm looking into the merlin md2 amp, the only thing is it sounds really shady.

First of all I've never heard of USAmp before. Second, I see people selling them on ebay for 375.00 as well.

Third a search on google yields nothing even close to a review of the amplifier, the only place I can find them is some german site.

I'm leaning toward the hifonics because its got all these sweet features like remote bass control,

2,000 WATT Mono Block Class "D" Monster Subwoofer amplifier
2,000 x 1 RMS @ 1 ohm
1 ohm stable
1,300 watts @ 2 ohms
Mosfet power outputs
RCA Outputs
Advanced Class Super "D" Setup
All new efficient Heatsink Design
Hifonics Logo Illuminates in bright neon illumination
Power and Protection LED indicator
Gold RCA Inputs
Daisy Chainable (you can connect 2 amps and get double the power together)
Built in advanced crossover system
Balanced line inputs
Soft Start Turn on for extra long lasting amplifier protection
Subsonic bass filtration system
Low Pass Filter: 35 - 250 Hz
Bass Boost: 0 - 18 dB
Phase Shift: 0 - 180 degrees
24 dB Subsonic Filter (15 - 50 Hz)
Dimensions: 16.5" L x 10.39" W x 2.63" H
S/N Ratio: >95dB
THD: <0.08

LOL,,, U are a silly man

I Guarantee u there are a whole lot of brands that u have never heard of that would kill anything that u have heard of...Stop being ignorant Forget the Hifonics amp, if u can get the USAmp get it....And if a remote bass control would make u buy an amp, u are a disgrace to car audio

Those aren't "sweet features", they are just facts about the amp, every other amp will have those same "sweet features", but with better numbers. Hifonics<<<<<<<<<<(less great times 10)US Amps..

lol my bad. I dont really know why I posted that thing about sweet features, I knew it was just an advertising ploy.

I'm getting the USamps because its the better sub I've figured out. Not to "prove my worth" on this forum though, I could give a sh!t :-)
