i just got an audiobahn 8002t to push my two kicker cvr12's which gives them pure hell, pounds harder than my rockford. Anyway ive been mounting amps on the backside of my seat and was wondering if that might be the reason for my old amp burning up because not enough air flow? What do you guys think, and also do i need to run the low pass filter or high pass, i have had it on the low pass? Thanks

you can mount it just about anywhere. you do want it in a pretty open area to get as much air flow as possible. if thats a problem, you can wire up some fans. just try to stay away from mounting it on the sub box because the excessive vibration can damage the amp. but if you have to, double up the wood on the box where you mount the amp.

for subs, run Low Pass, set around 80Hz.
for mids/highs, run High Pass set around the same.
