After reading that article i am deciding on getting a replacement battery since my stock battery is really old. Its for a 1998 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder 2.2 and its suppose to be a #35 group battery so that it fits.

I was considering a starter battery and not a deep cycle after reading that article there.

Any of you read that and suggest a good replacement battery.

I was considering the Optima Red Top and of course Sears DieHard Gold at the local sears.

Will you be having 2 batteries in the car? If so, I'd use an isolator like Orion MBR70 in it.
I've read the article on starter battery vs deepcycle in audio setup. However, a deepcycle with a cap will certainly help reduce the lag time. I doubt you'll be able to tell much difference by ear anyways.

No, just 1 battery. I dont listen to the music with the car off. I did that one time and it killed my battery and alternator several years ago.
