Paid $400 for 3 infinity reference 1230w, hifonics 1200bx and jensen head unit , good deal?

no offense but not all that good.
Jensen HU's are a waste of money.
That amp is not powerful enuff for all 3 subs.
2 subs to that amp at 1 ohm would be louder than 3.
If you are an absolute Newb to car audio you might like it.
Be careful with those infinity reference's I hear they crack easily.

Doesn't sound too bad to me. Depends on the quality of the Jensen, they make some OK HU's, but they make some super cheap ones also.

Looks like you're going to pay no less than about $50 shipped for the subs so --
Subs - 150
Amp - 150
HU - 100
Sounds fair to me.

Three subs at 1.3 ohms should work well. ~250w a piece is more than enough to get them moving.

Nothings going to sounde that crappy just the subs wont get getting there full potential wattage..jensen head unit= cheap, but it still gets the job done usually...
