I was considering buying a alpine mrd-m1000 for my type r's and a matching 4 channel amp for the highs just to have an ALL alpine systen, question is will the alpine stuff sound any better than the directed amps? 1100d and 250/4 is what i have, im a newbie when it comes to this stuff so your help will be appreciated, thanks,
Amps don't sound like anything. They produce power. The only difference in sound you'll encounter is at different power levels, or extreme distortion due to overdriving the amplifier.
Don't buy amplifiers for sound, buy them for build quality.
