Actually mine is the new model.. 2 150 oz double stacked magnets...5000 watts rms 25,000 short burp..I know i'm gonne need a big @$$ amp..if i could find an amp that is mono and can be wired to an 1 ohm load..that shud do it if its powerful enough...atomic was wanting 1200.00 for their amp that would put 4,000 watts into it..he recomended(my salesguy) i buy 2 of em..i was like dude i would have to sell my car to pay for em
having problem with keeping amp powered i have 2 kicker L512s and 1 1200.1 kicker amp when i turn the car on the amp shuts down but when i turn the key to aux it works fine what could be the problem could it be a bad alt?
It sounds like too much voltage is being sent to your amp wen the car is on..causing your amp to protect itselve..and turn off...is your amp power wire touching the wire that comes from the alternator to the battery?
