Can u bridge 4 channel

hey my friend has a alpine 250 watts amp, 4 channel, i know it isnt good but i wanted to help him out cause he has 1 12 inch sub hooked up to it, can u bridge this type of amp. if u can, may someone be able to show a picture of how to do it.. thanks.... another question.... whats the MONO mean in my amp,,, mtx mono 801d but its a two channel amp, i dont get it....

mono means one channel. if its a mono, there are not 2 channels

and yes you can bridge 4 channel amps...not all of them but some

i doubt u can bridge it to 1 channel but you could to 2 channels and run 2 subs on it

ok thanks i have two channels.. and it says on the box mono-block.. i have two subs hooked up

no, your amp only has 1 channel

it has 2 terminals, makes it easier to wire amp, and you can bridge most 4channel to a 4ohm load only., so either a dual 2 or single 4 for a single sub.

and with that amp, the best you can see is a 2ohm load, so if you use 2 subs, you need dual 2ohm subs.
