okay this is a double post but i got people telling me it is ok and then i got people telling me it will lower the power. so read this and get me an experts answer please.
okay here is the question. okay if i have a sub that is Dual 2 ohm voice coils. and handles 600 watts rms(300 watts per coil). and i have a mono amp that puts out 533 x 1 @ 4 ohms. can i wire the sub in series putting a 4 ohm load on the amp and have it work fine? or since the coils only handle 300 watts each will i run into trouble and damage the voice coils? experts please help
